Some names being considered by WWE for induction into the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame are Lex Luger, The Steiner Brothers, The Road Warriors/Legion of Doom, and, assuming he's no longer working for TNA, Sting. Other notable WCW names are also being considered for induction as well.




This idea has not been official confirmed as of yet, but Wrestling-Radio.com will keep you posted as we learn more information.

Sting needs to be in it.

WWE should drop WWE from the Hall of Fame name, and call it something else.

Why? I don't think they should at all.

They are the ones who started it, they should be known for starting it

Because if its a WWE-thing....limit it to those who were in the company. (I'm looking at you, Sting )

If you want to acknowledge all the greats regardless of where they performed...change the name.

Simple concept to me.

but it's not just the library. They own everything that is WCW. WCW was a company, WWE bought that company. WCW is now part of WWE......hence the Rock being WCW champion and shit.

That's almost like saying WWWF and WWF shouldn't be included in the WWE. The WWE owns WCW just the same as it owns WWF and WWWF. Not just the libraries......the entire companies.

as to the topic at hand.........great idea. Road Warriors for sure. Steiners for sure when Scotty gets out of TNA. Luger and Sting for sure.

I thought they did that at the WWE Times Square? I've never been there but when they first began re-doing the WWE HOF idea the original plan was to have all of the members with some sort of plaque that would go in there kind of like the pro-football HOF. My guess is Vince just said "Oh well we make enough money off of it doing the ceremony at Mania locations every year and then we release them on the DVD's so who really gives a shit?"

Road Warriors should already be in. They can't get in soon enough.

I have 100% confidence that Luger will make it in. Hell......he may even go in with Sting saying, "Luger comes too or I don't".....like so many other things in his career.

Luger was never a great worker but he had the look and he had the friends. He has quite a resume as a result:

- NWA regional championships in Florida
- NWA TV titles (thad don't mean shit)
- NWA US Title holder many times
- NWA tag straps
- WCW tv titles (that don't mean shit)
- WCW US title holder on multiple occasions
- WCW Champ 2 or 3 times
- WCW tag straps a couple of times

main eventer from the day he was brought up from Florida. Spent his entire career working with the likes of Sting, Flair, Horsemen, Steiners, Road Warriors, Dusty Rhodes, etc.....Huge babyface push in the WWF, slamming Yoko.......main event still.

I think he's a shoe-in. His recent health problems and whatnot only help.........

Luger's resume isn't the problem. His relationship with Vince is and since he has the ultimate say of who goes in, Luger's chances are practically none. He was the first guy who fired the bullet in the Monday night wars by openly lying to Vince, he was a known drug addict for the longest time and many still fault him for the death of Miss Elizabeth. True he is apparently a changed person but Vince has become more tedious about letting in past workers who have been in trouble with the law (specifically drug offenders). If you have watched WWE 24/7 since the Benoit incident, Vince actually tries as hard as possible to do what he can to prevent any Luger footage from being aired. I'm not sure he would be all so quick to put him in a ceremony that will be nationally televised.

It should be called "WWE's Wrestling Hall of Fame".

not sure why you think this. Luger was one of the 15 people on "Greatest Superstars of the 90s" dvd and even has a match included. i'd assume he was pretty prominent in the "rise and fall of wcw" dvd as well, but i haven't seen that one.
there was something on the wwe website awhile back as well, covering what luger is doing now and all that jazz.

Well obviously Luger is going to be on any DVD that covers WCW because of the impact his arrival made not only with WCW but with the Monday night wars itself. However, that isn't going to change how McMahon feels about him and certainly won't make a difference in whether or not he eventually gets into the HOF.

They just featured Luger on the Where Are They Now? section of the website a month or two ago, with new pictures and quotes from him. I think Vince is past it.

I would hope he is. Certainly no reason to have harsh feelings toward a guy who has overcome the troubles he has recently.

word, I think Vince is past it. Probably still not his favorite person in the world but it's behind him and not worth his energy. He brought Eric Bischoff to RAW..........Luger had to be lower on McMahon's shitlist than that guy.

vince always says, "never say never".......the only guy I'll say never about is Jeff Jarrett. the only way Vince would ever allow him in his company again in any sort of capacity would be to publicly humiliate him.

I don't think Vince cares what Smarks know.......but when you put something out there on film and shit detailing your drug usage, whoring, being a bad person in general for millions upon millions of your fans to see.......I think that causes Vince to pause.

Jake's continuing drug problems don't help. To this day, Jake is still on constant death-watch. When you're a PG company trying to clean up your image post-Benoit, it doesn't help if you make a big spectacle out of honoring the guy, just for him to get drunk and pull out his dick on an indy-show a week later. I can see why he's not in yet.

And if he can make a dime off of it, Vince will let ANYTHING slide. The dude brought in Eric Bischoff. Eric. Fucking. Bischoff. There was no single person alive lower on McMahon's shitlist than Eric Bischoff.

I think he'd probably bring Jarrett too, if TNA ever got big enough that doing so would be a major event. Because Jarrett's only guilty of 2 things against Vince:

- Running an opposing company
- Holding him up for money

He hired Bischoff. And he hired back Jake The Snake and Ultimate Warrior, both of whom also held him up for money at various times. And in Jarrett's case, wasn't he actually owed the money anyway?

WWE's Time Square thing closed about 4 years ago.
Shane WAS looking at a HOF "place" in Orlando. However, I think they've nixed it until further notice. I think they should do it at WWE headquarters with a HOF wing. Million $ belt in glass etc..

I hope Jake makes it in....that way I might win his HOF Ring on Ebay after he pawns it for crack money.

Word, there's been rumors of them doing a HOF building, but it's a financial issue, and let's face it: is WWE really big enough these days to have an actual HOF somewhere that people would visit? Would enough people visit it to sustain the cost of running it? I kinda doubt it. Only 3 or 4 million people a week watch their biggest show. How many of them are gonna travel to Stamford or whatever in order to visit it? I'm a huge fan and I probably wouldn't, unless I just happened to be in the area. Which means they'd need to put it in a touristy area of the country.

Him inducting Jake would be huge. Notice that a lot of the big named guys that he inducts usually are the ones who came out with a DVD or something profitable within a year-2 that they were inducted (Flair, Austin, Hogan, Piper;etc). Those guys are deserving as it is but it seems like a pattern where Vince inducts the big named guys that he is in one way or another promoting something of theirs within the time period. I hear that they are in the process of another Jake DVD and I think he is working on another book. I could certainly see it happening within another couple of years.

Plus, I don't think Jake is as bad now and ever since putting out the "Pick your Poison" DVD a lot of fans have gained a lot better understanding as to what he has been through. He would be one of the few exceptions I could see as far as known drug addicts go.

The Pick Your Poison DVD came out in 2005.

He went to rehab (paid by WWE) in 2007.

Jake was at an indy show stumbling around and pulling his dick out in the middle of the match in late 2008.

The dude is a life-long fuckup and it's sad, but that's never going to change.
