I'm trying to talk to people, and get them excited about Ron Paul. But most of the people I talk to are like, "What? Presidential candidates? People care about that?"

Im worried about the primaries. And it pisses me off that a few states are given so much weight when it comes to how much their votes matter.

Giuliani won the election as soon as he entered the race. The same people that gave W his throne are going to give it to Rudy. If voting was legit, he wouldn't have a chance, but we all know how that goes.

and I think all the people that think like this and choose NOT to vote added to it. You wanna be a revolutionary? Vote for ron paul. You aren't being a revolutionary sitting here thinking of conspiracy theories, and bitching about something you wont try and change.

The people need to take back the government and stop thinking it doesn't work. thats what "the enemy" wants you to think. Its easier to "buy" and election when those that DON'T support who they want in office are sitting at home bitching.

My best friend bitches that bush "bought" the election yet he never voted. So instead of buying 2 votes (one to overcome his and one to get ahead) they only had to "buy" one. (just an analogy)

be part of the solution not the god damn problem

I'll readily admit that, for a long time, I was against voting for the basic reason of "it doesn't work." And honestly, in a presidential election, I still find myself feeling that way a little bit. But I'm going to vote and here's why:

Krash is right. I saw it happen in my own city just months ago. Complete voter apathy prevented a change that this city DESPERATELY needs. It sucks that it's a race-issue, but the truth is, the mayor of Memphis has the black vote ON LOCK. Blacks in this city flat out will not vote for anyone else because our mayor caters to them. He panders to the lower class, inner city blacks.

His campaign slogan, I shit you not, was "Shake the haters off." The mayor of Memphis ran in an election, with that slogan, and won. Furthermore, he refused to even show up for debates. Did very little campaigning. He barely even paid attention to the election.

And he won, for the fifth time in a row (no term limit). Reason? As much as the other candidates tried, no one voted. And Memphis will remain a corrupt, crime-ridden city, most violent city in America if you believe the recent FBI report.

And it works the opposite: the whites here are just as bad and won't vote for a black man, even though a VERY qualified one was also running. But he didn't shake enough haters off, I guess.

In the end, Memphis has way more blacks than whites and because of this stupid racial divide, the ignorant mayor of this city will win every time because the whites are outnumbered and therefore, feel like "why bother voting?"

Sorry that the heel in this story turned out to be a black guy, but that's how it happened.

Point being, if people in Memphis weren't so apathetic towards te voting process and had actually TRIED making a change, rather than just bitching about it, we'd have a competent mayor in office.

As it is, all the whites have just said "fuck it" and started moving out of Memphis in droves.

How long until that happens in America?

Voting DOES work. You just have to...yanno....do it.

I think voting for change DOES start at the local level and most people fail to realize that.

tell me more. No, really. I would like to hear more (with proof). I try to consider myself an informed voter and as much as I liked what was in that video, I want to hear about all sides of the candidate.

And then I want to hear SC defend these issues because, well, I respect his opinion above most others considering he is one of the few who pays attention/gives a damn.

Of course I'll vote, because otherwise, I have no right to complain about anything election related. However, even though though I vote, I still believe that whoever the people calling the shots want in office will be in office.

For the first time ever, I agree with Krash.

If you don't vote on the mother fucker that runs our country, you really have no say in anything. NOTHING. You even lose your privileges to bitch about gas prices. Cops shouldn't come when you call them. They should make not voting a crime, like draft dodging.

I was 19 during the 2004 election and I voted. I care about how I'm treated. Obviously the majority of the voters were stupid fucks, but at least I tried. It takes like 10 minutes to vote, if that long even. Depending on the wait in line, but don't wait until the last minute you lazy fuckers.

this is exactly what he is about. no matter his views,
he wants to leave the issues in the states hands like
it should be. just because he is against something, he
isnt going to force it upon you.

I just joined the revolution. I like his states rights views. Then all the Conservatives can move to Kansas and stay there with there views.
